Who are they? Well, here's these two guys...
Bio:
Bain and Bernard, also known as Warren and Matt, have been a writing team for close to two decades. Their body of work includes vaudevillian styled sketch comedy, street performance, and drastic comedic overhauls of Shakespearean plays, there was even this one time where they performed 3am as part of a Guinness Book of World Records longest variety show pitch. Their work has been performed all over Toronto, some parts of Ontario, and North Sandwich, New Hampshire where it's ironically hard to find a sandwich for lunch.
Always up for a challenge, the duo happily looks forward to new connections and possibilities. Drop us a line, we'd love to chat.

History:
Warren Bain and Matt Bernard formed a working relationship early on in Scarborough, Ontario while attending Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts. Bain & Bernard Comedy made its professional debut at the Junction Arts Festival in 2009 with a vaudevillian street performance entitled Bain & Bernard & Sons: Miracle Elixir. The show was a resounding success and the company was asked back the following two years to perform two brand new creations: Time Machine Adventure Time, an infomercial styled show selling time shares in time; and The You’ve Never Seen Anything Like it Show!!!, a circus show featuring The Boxing Beasts, Clown Magic, A Flea Circus, High Divin’ Hugh (Prince of Atlantis) and a Tap Dancing Unicorn.
From there, Bain & Bernard Comedy went on to become a festival favourite at the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival creating entirely original plays based on Shakespeare’s works. Shows have included: A Measure of Pleasure, The Kating Game, A Midsummer’s Nightmare or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love Desdemona Anyway, A Cratchit Carol, and Sherlock Holmes and the Case of Hamlet, which had a subsequent production in New Hampshire, USA.
Bain & Bernard Comedy garnered ‘Patrons Pick ‘ and ‘Best of Fringe’ at the 2016 Toronto Fringe for their original work Romeo & Juliet Chainsaw Massacre. It was highly praised by Glenn Sumi of NOW Magazine, "NNNN - Forsooth, methinks ROMEO & JULIET CHAINSAW MASSACRE will sell out. Buy thine tickets now. Verily, so much fun”, and the show made headlines as it was one of a handful to be seen by Hollywood actor Neil Patrick Harris.
Now, Bain & Bernard are excited that their plays are leaving the nest and, especially since both have a long history as arts educators, are happy that a high school in Ontario is producing Sherlock Holmes and the Case of Hamlet in April 2022.
